Form Designing on SharePoint for Vendor Management

Client’s Requirements:

The form contains a simple automatic numbering system that must be recreated in SP. The numbering functionality should take the last and highest number of the already created incidents and increase it with one when a new list item / incident is created and saved.

Our Solution:

Created SharePoint designer Workflow and associated with “Support HORUS TTMA” list. It is triggered when new entry is made over to the list and assigns a sequence number to the new list item based on last highest number.

Benefits:

While SharePoint does a lot of things and offers a fairly massive feature set, its primary focus is on collaboration, which entails somewhat open flows of information and less control of material across the full document life cycle than a Approval Workflow would offer.
